Winter is finally over, and here at Heritage Hyundai Towson, we are here to help you get your vehicle ready for the spring. Depending on how your ride faired in the winter, there may be some Hyundai service tasks your vehicle is due for. Follow these tips so you can be safe on the road.

Spring Hyundai Service Tips

First and foremost, check your vehicle for any lights that come on when you start up your vehicle. If you see a tire pressure light, oil light, or check engine light, bring your vehicle in for service immediately. With any luck, this can be a simple fix such as repairing a sensor. However, in the event that it is an issue, you should make sure that address it quickly so the problem doesn’t get worse.

Remember, a $100 fix now is a lot better than a $3,000 fix in a few months.

Things to Check

Next, you should make sure that your tires and wiper blades are in decent shape. Take a penny and insert it into the treads of your tires with Abraham Lincoln’s face facing you. If the treads cover Honest Abe’s head, then you are in the clear. If they don’t it means that your treads are wearing down and you should consider replacing them.

Next, check how your windshield wiper blades are functioning. As they say, April showers bring May flowers, so you can expect tons of rain in the spring. If you are out driving in a storm, you need working wiper blades. Run your wiper blades while your windshield is wet. If everything looks okay, you’re good to go. If your blades are leaving streaks or simply aren’t clearing the water off your windshield, consider replacing them.
